The satellites are government (military) owned and are available for free to the public. Great question, and I’ve got a great answer. All Garmin portable GPS models we carry offer a good selection of languages, and voice personalities to choose from. Like “Jill from Australia” or “Jean from France.”

It was well worth the money every city town street you can think of is already pre-loaded in your garmin nuvi 850 right out of the box . You dont have to have a memory card you really dont need one if all you want is navigation . The voice recognition is freak'en sweet Its awesome just speak the street and the nuvi 850 dose the rest .
