    this review is spot on but the youtube speed stopping and starting totally blows kills it ,murders

    what about the operating program to drag and drop info to yr computer vista????

    The operating program is Garmin basecamp, which is an upgraded version of Mapsource. I have never liked Mapsource as it is too difficult to import files. Basecamp makes this real easy, all you have to do is go to import, open the file, and bam you are done. Basecamp also has 3-d terrain views, which to me is useless. I have never used a topo program which does a good job at 3-d topo views, with the exception of google earth.

    @rickrules007 about the expensive maps ,you can buy a 100k topo map for the whole U.S for $99.00 still pricey but you get the whole U.S at 100k.

    That is true, but if you ever go into the back country, 100k does not give any near the necessary detail. Even the 24k garmin maps are sorley lacking compared to the USGS 24k maps.
